GEORGES by Jean-Luc Bolo

Georges 12 years old is an altar boy at the church. He officiates there every Sunday by lending a hand to the priest. He is a precocious religious devotee, who is the pride of his parents: Alberta and Stéphane. At the same time, at school he is mocked and teased by his fickle and carefree/frivolous classmates who want to tease him and introduce him to the pleasures of life. Between devotion to his religion and singing the sirens of sin, he faces a dilemma. His conscience is torn on both sides, until the day he decides to stop everything. After much reflection, he emancipates himself, against all odds, from the rules and religious responsibilities instilled by his parents. His mother is angry, but she doesn't intend to stop there; she intends to punish him for this affront, this dishonor, by secretly planning to cast a spell on him. She, however, who prays zealously to the Virgin Mary, this holy water frog is nevertheless preparing to commit the irreparable on her own son; and to open jointly a Pandora's box... Not very Catholic!
