Since the number of possible eBook topics that you can write
about is tremendous. You may already have several possible topics in mind to
write about. Which topic is the best one for you and even more important,
likely to earn the most money in the shortest time possible?
Many experts recommend that you consider your interests and
do some research, which is good advice. However, those experts, in my opinion,
don't go far enough. As a result, you wind up losing more time in
"connecting the dots" with trial-and-error efforts. I know that I
did. As a result, I've learned a lot and included the following tips that I
wished I had right from the get-go. They are as follows:
- STICK TO TRENDING
TOPICS, such as relationships, money, career, food, fashion, education, and
others. Everyone wants to look and feel more attractive, confident, and
financially secure. Choose one of these topics and write about some aspect of
it. Remember that the above-named topics are very broad and include many
smaller subtopics and niches. To find out what they are, check out siteslike
Clickbank and Amazon.
- OFFER A PRACTICAL
SOLUTION FOR SOLVING A REALLY PRESSING PROBLEM and you'll sell more ebooks.
You don't have to look very far. How did you deal with a pet's pooping problem,
learn a foreign language, lose weight, teach a dog or cat new tricks, etc.?
There may be many solutions out there, but yours is unique and may help
someone.
- WRITE AN EBOOK THAT
EXPLAINS HOW TO DO SOMETHING. Consider everything that you know how to do
well and enjoy doing it, such as how to collect stamps, how to get good deals
on cruises, how to master chemistry, how to become a good accountant, etc.
- CREATE A TABLE OF
CONTENTS BEFORE DOING ANYTHING ELSE. As you work, focus on developing a
logical sequence of items. You can use words as
"Introduction,""Tools," and the like in the beginning and
fill in specifics later. Put yourself in your reader's place. What should he or
she know or do first? Then what?
- LIMIT YOUR RESEARCH
TO ANSWERING QUESTIONS THAT CAME UP AS YOU WRITE YOUR EBOOK. Finding
answers to those questions will keep your research efforts focused and more
importantly, help you to support your points, and best of all, save you writing
time.
- KEEP YOUR FIRST
EBOOK SHORT. A few pages rather than 20-plus pages will enable you to
include good information without trying to cover everything there is to know
about your chosen topic. You'll likely complete and sell it faster. You'll also
likely discover other items that you could include - in other ebooks. For the
time being, keep everything direct and simple.
