When I meet God I will ask him: Poems by Giovanni Sestito

Poems that analyse the human soul in all its relationships : with the human spirit, with God, with nature, with things, with thoughts and ideas. The relationship is meant as the only way to look for the essence of life. We become totally involved into the friendly, hostile, mysterious nature feeling it alive as we do.

Poems of nature, a collection of poems by Giovanni Sestito that focused on the theme of nature and on the deep connection between it and human beings. In the world the word is also image and poetry, meditating is first of all to stand still; sitting and following the breath in a humble and patient way, receiving it in silence, knowing but without thinking.

Then ,it is to follow the movements of our mind by stopping to worry about actions, thoughts, concerns for the future, memories of the past. Nature, spirit, soul, love, enchantment. Nature that reveals itself sometimes as a friend and other times as an enemy. Every poem speaks of the pleasure of life, fear, enjoyment, immersion, surprise, endurance, meditation on small and big things. That is, moments when nature speaks to us and we choose to listen. Meditating is not to create a void around us. It is not meant to separate and divide the worlds that we consider spiritual from what we consider ordinary. It is, in fact, to be inside ourselves, inside all that we are consciously involved in that moment.
