The 2017 sex scandals raised familiar and disturbing issues in entertainment, news, and business. This is not at all surprising to author Veronica Loving and her daughter Jazzmine Jackson who co-authored the memoir “Feeding A Monster” after learning that the man, husband, father and professional athlete they loved was a sexual assault predator living in their home.
A memoir unlike
any other book that addresses sexual assault, it follows the dramatic real - life story of Loving and
Jackson who were victims of a predator who happened to be the husband and
father of the mother and daughter duo. It describes the tragedy that destroyed
Loving’s 21-year marriage to her husband who was a minor-league baseball player
and Jackson’s father-daughter relationship due to the abuse inflicted by the
man who was to protect, love, and keep them safe.
The women in this book speak candidly about
their personal experience with sexual assault and other issues such as date
rape and domestic violence.
Loving’s mission through this book is to help individuals
notice the signs, protect themselves, and speak out. The memoir advocates peace
and healing for individuals haunted with painful memories
that fade over time.
The
book has gained popularity with talk radio shows across the country, as
Veronica discusses the topic of “Sexual Assault: Do The Memories Fade Over
Time?” “Feeding A Monster,” ISBN-13:9780997986303 is
currently sold at Vroman’s Bookstore in Pasadena California, Amazon.com and
